It is the red flower that you possibly can find only in the Indian subcontinent called “Joba”. It is red in color, red link blood, red like the color female organ. The people of Indian subcontinent praise the idol of KALI, with this flower and her power comes from her vagina. It is also rice to depict the human reproduction capacity. I hope you have the idea.

I think religious representation is interesting. It is interesting that they idolize Kali, who is said to control fertility. Often offering her flowers like the Joba and rice as a means to attain successful procreation.

So could this be where the tradition of throwing rice at weddings originated? Red is also associated with love and women wear red dresses in traditional Chinese weddings. I definitely like the idea of a woman's power coming from her vagina since vagina's (or being women in general) is so often seen as a sign of weakness.

In the natural environment, red can be found in fire and very hot things, in sunsets, and on flowers. Some animals are naturally coloured red, primarily birds. Blood is also red. People who see the colour red often make these very common associations.

Red is thus a colour about excitement. About violence and passion and warmth. It is a colour about transition and about sentiment. These are meanings having nothing to do with culture, but with these things in the physical world and how they affect us.

Which colour is significant is a value judgement. If you think the things red symbolizes are important, you will say that is the most important colour. If you think other things are, you will choose others. I am the water, myself, so I am naturally inclined to blue.
